I was there last night and witnessed an incident involving the So called security guy and some young people. I guess one young man was asked to leave for being too drunk but I was watching the whole situation and he was not drunk. As former law enforcement what should have happened was the young man in question should have been given water and monitored by the "security" guy. I strongly suggest that you get a more experienced security person one who in fact knows the liquor laws. And better management.

I had a very disappointing experience at Langford Lanes and City Centre Grille on October 3rd 2024.

We arrived at 8:20ish for our 9pm reservation in VIP to bowl for the evening. We thought we would sit in the Grille and have a drink as we waited for our lanes. We sat ourselves at a table in the middle as there was going to be 6 of us. We sat and waited for our server and she gave us some menus, and she asked if we wanted to order food, we said no thank you we are just in for a quick drink as we have just over half an hour before our reservation on the lanes. She ripped our menus away and walked away. She came back to our table and said, "I suggest you sit at the bar then". We did not want to sit at the bar as we just wanted to relax and enjoy a drink before we played. She came back dropped off 1 menu for drinks and then never came back so we left. Feeling bothered and a little pissed we went to the front desk and asked if we could check in early. Thankfully the girl at the front desk was nice and said we could head over to our lane early and hang out until 9.

We got to our lane around 8:45 and just getting our shoes and teams organized. Our server came over and greeted us with a very unwelcoming aggressive attitude, even admitting to her hostility and swearing at us for no reason. When my friend tried to order another drink it was his fourth drink in 80 minutes. We had not been previously drinking and had just had dinner so he was excited to start his birthday evening. Our server abruptly cut him off, insisting that he was now only allowed to have water. She left him a water at the bar and then when he went to go get it, she got upset with him. I am not sure if my friend ever really got ever enjoy his night as our server seemed to have a problem with him right from the get go. It was a little disheartening as among all of us he was the only black person there and felt a little racially motivated on her part.

Despite having an hour left of our bowling she insisted that we all pay our bills, which prevented us from ordering anything else as she never came back. She also took all the receipts and removed her name tag seemingly trying to avoid any and all accountability.

When we asked to speak to a manager, she falsely claimed to be one. Eventually, an actual manager came out but offered little help, stating he had "talked" to her without addressing our concerns. To make matters worse, she even threatened my friend outside where he spent the last 45 minutes of his night waiting because he could not stand the poor treatment he received inside the establishment.

It was astonishing to witness and be apart of such horrible customer service. The server's behaviour and attitude were absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. The experience we had last night was absolutely horrible and of course the person treated the worst was the person we were supposed to be celebrating. I hope this is addressed and it never happens to any future customers.

I absolutely love this place!! My all time favourite thing to do in Victoria!! Absolutely well maintained and affordable if you go in a group of 6! Great for a date night activity as well!!

Langford Lanes is fun, has very friendly and helpful staff, and is a really nice night out!

It is somewhat noisy because, well, people are throwing bowling balls down lanes. This is expected and part of the fun!

The scoreboard even has fun emoji type cartoons after your performance, and this is often quite amusing!

An hour goes by so fast because you are having fun, no matter how good or bad you're scoring!

Came in for bottomless bowling special Thursday Nov 21, and while most of the staff was lovely and accommodating the brunette female server was very dismissive & rude when we approached her to order drinks. It seemed as though our presence was an inconvenience, the level of disrespect was a shock as it's not something I've experienced here before. Maybe she shouldn't be working busier nights as she may have been too overwhelmed.

Make a reservation, pay online and don't you dare miss your reservation. They think they're a Dr office and demand 24 hrs notice if you have to cancel.

If there's an accident with a fatality on the highway that is your only access in, you can go and screw yourself because they demand 24 hrs notice to cancel.

Oh and since another party filled your reserved spot, the bowling alley has lost nothing yet the best you're going to get is a credit that must be used on Mon-Thu from 6 pm to closing only, no weekends and no long weekend Mondays.

I wish I could have a business model where I'm allowed to actively punish customers from within the service industry. Forget about the fact that I live out of town, so now I have to commute all the way home just to commute all the back into town because Langford Lanes won't give any kind of refund when a highway fatality closes the only access road that exists for my family to get into town.

We should have planned for that, I guess. Thanks for your complete failure on the service side, Langford Lanes manager that called to provide this highly restrictive set of conditions, no doubt hiding behind the shield of company policy.

A staff member had told us that we needed to change lanes halfway through our game which we reserved and had paid for in advance to make room for another, we were then told that we would get a free drink for moving but were charged for it anyway. The manager said it was just a misunderstanding and didn’t offer any other type of compensation. It’s a nice alley but staffing needs to be worked on.
